PV*T installation – how to do it right.

Various system components are required for the installation of a PV*T system. This diagram shows a schematic representation of the system design using heat pumps with integrated source mixers.

PV*T FLEX
T-COMPONENT
PV*T FLEX is specially developed for heat pump systems and uses aluminum fins on the back as a heat exchanger. The distance between the PV and thermal components enables air circulation and is used as a source for the heat pump. The system efficiently combines electricity and heat generation, allows the retrofitting of existing PV systems, and does not require geothermal probes or surface collectors. The type of installation, inverter and other components can be freely selected.

The supply and return lines of the system are designed with a corrugated pipe hose. The connections are equipped with quick couplings so that tool-free installation is possible.

HEAT PUMP
The heat pump is a central element in an installation with PVT collectors. The heat pump is selected in the form of a brine heat pump or water-water heat pump and meets various criteria for use with PVT collectors.
A Sourcemixer is necessary to bring the brine fluid within the operating range of the heat pump at higher temperatures.

FILLING & MIXING STATION
The solids mixer is used in systems at if there is no mixer for the heat source on the heat pump side. It ensures that liquid from the source that is too warm is mixed with cooler liquid – thus achieving a lower temperature suitable for the heat pump.

VESSEL CONNECTION GROUP
The vessel connection group combines several important functions in one compact unit: It has a pressure indicator for easy control of the system pressure, a bleed valve for automatic removal of air from the system and a pressure relief valve that ensures safety in the event of excessive pressure.

EXPANSION VESSEL
An expansion vessel is an important component. It compensates for the pressure fluctuations in the system that occur when the fluid expands when heated. The expansion vessel therefore protects the system and ensures safe and consistent operation.
