From concept to market-ready innovation
The story of PV/T technology at GREENoneTEC began in 2016. As a leading international manufacturer in solar thermal technology, we recognized the potential of hybrid systems early on. Combining photovoltaics (PV) and solar thermal (T) in a single collector was a logical next step: delivering combined energy yield from the same footprint—sustainable, cost-effective, and future-oriented.
In the initial phase, we worked with prototypes and technical concepts, always focusing on top quality, reliability, and straightforward integration into existing systems. By 2017, in collaboration with a partner company, we realized the first market-ready PV/T system. This marked a technological milestone that strategically expanded our portfolio and set a new standard in combined solar solutions.
Since then, we have continuously advanced our PV/T technology. Recent years have seen rapid development across the PV industry: module sizes have been repeatedly revised and enlarged, power outputs have risen, and cell technologies have become more efficient—all changes we have leveraged to keep our product aligned with market requirements. From mechanical design to hydraulic integration and electrical interconnection, every aspect has been revisited, optimized, and rethought.
A central pillar of our development has always been real-world practice. We built numerous test installations to validate our collectors under actual operating conditions. In 2023 in particular, the establishment of several pilot markets enabled us to gather valuable data and insights. These flow directly into ongoing product improvements—whether in efficiency, durability, manufacturing technology, or installation methods.
This journey has been guided by a comprehensive quality and testing program that has long distinguished GREENoneTEC. Every product undergoes rigorous internal test procedures and complies with international norms and standards. We ensure that our PV/T collectors excel not only on paper but also in day-to-day operation—maintaining their performance over many years.
Today, we present a mature, extensively tested, and proven line of PV/T collectors designed for modern energy generation: reliable, versatile, and ready for tomorrow’s demands.
Sunlight is converted into electrical energy with the help of semiconductor cells.
On hot days, the module heats up to 80°C. A thermal collector mounted on the back cools the solar cells and therefore increases the electricity yield.
Solar collectors are required to convert solar energy into heat. Through symbiosis with solar thermal energy, the resulting waste heat can be discharged and transformed into usable heat by the heat exchanger. Two different variants are available, depending on the application. They differ in the design of the thermal component.
By utilizing the ambient temperature, PVT systems achieve an efficiency of 80%, operate 24 hours a day, and are completely silent.
